KPN has been organising its Channel Awards business partner event for six years. KPN's business partners can nominate themselves for projects they have successfully performed for their clients. Since the very beginning, TechText has been involved in rewriting the information submitted by the business partners, with the aim of producing clear and readable texts. Based on these texts, the Channel Awards jury makes carefully considered choices. In addition, TechText transforms the texts submitted by the nominees into catchy material for the dedicated website, www.kpn.channelwards.nl, where business partners can cast their votes. Finally, TechText is responsible for preparing the jury reports on the winners - all to the total satisfaction of KPN, who are highly impressed by TechText's quality and flexibility!

Martine Schoone of KPN's Business Partner Organisation is responsible for the annual KPN Channel Awards, which were recently held for the sixth time. For this event, business partners of KPN can nominate themselves in four categories for projects they have successfully performed for clients. The categories are as follows: Marketing Award, Innovation Award, Customer Value Award and Business Award.
Time-consuming project
Martine explained: "This event is a vehicle for us to express our gratitude for the efforts of our business partners. Consequently, many business partners are keen to participate, which results in 50 to 80 submitted case descriptions - a big and time-consuming job. This is why we asked TechText to handle a significant portion of the activities from the outset. The process is as follows: TechText prepares a list of questions for each Award, which is then filled in by the business partner. Based on the completed forms, TechText prepares a case description for each nomination. The case descriptions are then assessed by our jury, who draw up a shortlist of four nominees for each category. TechText then finalises the accompanying case descriptions for publication on our special website, www.kpn.channelawards.nl, where our business partners can vote for the candidate of their choice for each Award. At the end, there are four winners. In consultation with the jury, TechText's final activity consists of preparing the jury reports that will be read out during the Awards' presentation ceremony."
High quality and flexible services
Martine is extremely impressed by the work performed by TechText: "In order for our jury to be able to make a well-considered and fair selection, it is imperative that the case descriptions are homogenous in terms of content and focus. This can only be achieved when the submissions are compared in a fair manner. Each year, TechText succeeds in achieving this homogeneity, despite the often significant differences between the completed question forms. Furthermore, the completed texts are always of good quality, which is essential for the nominations that will eventually be published on the website. Another benefit of the cooperation with TechText, in my view, is their pleasant and highly flexible approach. For the most recent edition of the Awards, they had a tight deadline, right at the end of the year. Despite this time pressure and planned holidays, we managed to process all of the completed forms and create the required text, enabling the jury to start on time. I'm very satisfied with the services of TechText in general, and am certainly planning to call on them for assistance for the following edition of the KPN Channel Awards!"
