Equens is the first - and presently only - pan-European full-service payment processor. Its core activities consist of processing large volumes of giro and card-related payments. Equens was established in the autumn of 2006 as the result of a merger between the Dutch company Interpay and the German Transaktioninstitut für Zahlungsdiensleistungen A.G. In addition to the Netherlands and Germany, the company now also has offices in Italy and Finland. TechText has been responsible for translating a broad range of texts into a variety of European languages for all of Equens' departments for more than twelve years. Equens values the services TechText provides as its preferred supplier, in particular due to the high quality of the often industry-specific texts, the considerable flexibility and strong focus on service. |

In his role as Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant at Equens, Marcel Woutersen has frequent contact with TechText: "When I first started at this Equens centre back in 1999 - when we were still called Interpay - TechText was already supplying us with translations. At first, they were for the most part translations from and into English. Naturally, the fact that we now also have German and Italian colleagues has affected our translation needs, with these two languages playing an increasingly prominent role. Furthermore, on behalf of Marketing & Communications, we regularly send out press releases in no less than seven European languages, which also include Finnish, Swedish, French and Spanish. TechText takes care of all of this, to our full satisfaction."
Broad range of texts
Marketing & Communications is not the only department of Equens that uses the services of TechText. Marcel: "By no means. As our preferred supplier, TechText's translation services are used by all of our departments. In some cases, it can involve large technical documents, such as manuals for our Risk Management department, but also Requests For Information (RFIs) and Requests For Proposal (RFPs), detailed process descriptions, technical specifications and HR documents. All in all, a broad range of texts which TechText manages with ease."
Service-orientated and flexible
Marcel is extremely positive about the activities of TechText: "With translation agencies, I think you should be able to have total confidence in the quality of their work. With a language like English, this is of course a little easier to monitor than with, for instance, Italian. But as far as the quality is concerned, we're absolutely satisfied. What's more, because of its size and structure TechText always has a sufficient number of translators available who are properly familiar with our specific industry. In addition, they cooperate well in ensuring standardisation based on our glossaries and specific terminology. Naturally, it's important that the most recent versions are used, but with TechText this process works fine. What also makes TechText easy to work with is their high level of flexibility. This comes in handy, given that with delicate processes such as mergers, there can be last-minute changes to the texts we have already submitted. But thanks to their service-orientated and friendly attitude, those kinds of processes always run extremely smoothly. Lastly, TechText are always proactive and make constructive contributions when it comes to eliminating any bottlenecks. In short, we're very positive regarding our cooperation with them." |
